Hiding Something?

I was talking to a friend of mine today, and I was ranting about how a bunch of different websites had blatant flaws and how certain aspects of different website were utterly stupid. I then got onto the topic of Stardoll. It made me think about the "illegal words" on Stardoll. Namely, swear words, body parts that can be perceived as rude, certain bodily functions and some websites and programs.

The most common one that I think irritates us the most would be the forbidden "Tinypic". This is intriguing, as 95% of the time that I go on Tinypic.com, there is an ad for.... Stardoll.

This is just a little bit odd. And a tad hypocritical. I mean, you're advertising on a website we aren't allowed to promote? How does that make sense? Oh, right... It doesn't.

Also, MSN and Skype.
Why would these be blocked? Hmm... Initially, I was thinking it was because Stardoll was too gutless to admit that their chat server is... Well... Terrible. I mean, it disconnects frequently, is very unreliable and more than anything else it slows down your computer.

But the really curious thing is, is that Facebook and Twitter are perfectly acceptable. Stardoll are still "connected" to these websites, but they are to Tinypic. So why is it blocked?

Oh, and you still get Stardollars when you connect to Facebook and Twitter. Those poor Non-Superstars...  But that's a whole other rant.

Thoughts?
