First, Hello, and I am sorry it has taken me so long to write. I have had a busy few weeks. Now, I bring you an opinion on the new "deal" Stardoll introduced to everyone in honor of the 111,111,111 members.
So what were your thoughts when you first received the message explaining the new offer? Excited? Irritated? Maybe you were ecstatic because you had a chance to get items from Tribute stores such as Chanel, Couture, Just Cavalli (forgive my misspelling), and Sonia Rykiel for free. Other girls were paying more then top dollar for these pieces just days before. Maybe you were a collector that spent not only Stardollars but real life money to buy these and now, they are worth almost nothing. I can honestly say I never thought I would see more then ten Chanel Tribute Dress being sold for two Stardollars in the Bazaar. I know I would be more then upset.
But Before we get to worked up, let's take a look at the WHOLE offer. First, Stardoll released nine pieces of clothing, furniture and accessories to everyone, Superstar and Non-Superstar alike. That was pretty nice considering some of the items are not half bad and can be usable. Then, if you added Stardollars you not only got 11% more but also 500 Starcoins. So far, Stardoll was being generous and kind. Then you scroll down just a bit and you see the rest.
First, the Chanel dress and shoes would be given out to whoever sold an item for more then 20 Stardollars. Come on, what Superstar doesn't do that at least once a week?
Then, the Cavalli (excuse my spelling) dress and Rykiel shoes were offered to whoever created and bought a design we made from the Design shop.
Finally, the Couture dress and another pair of Rykiel shoes went to whoever bought a Superstar membership or added more money (keep in mind the other offers included in all of this).
Wow
All I can think about is, if Stardoll is doing this for 111,111,111 members, imagine future "deals". I feel like Stardoll is doing anything to get more money and in the process, practically destroying collections. Slashing them in half. Throwing value out the window.
These are just my thoughts though. What do you think?
